Leeway (posting):
A grace period that allows an outdoor
media provider time to complete a posting without penalty in the
event of delay caused by weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Line: The side of an
expressway or arterial on which an outdoor media unit is positioned.
Line of sight: Direction
from which an outdoor media structure can be viewed. A given structure
may have more than one line-of-sight.
Line of travel: The
center of the lane of traffic moving in one direction.
Lithography: Printing
method that produces large quantities of Poster paper in full color.
Load factor (vehicle load
factor): The average number of persons riding in each vehicle.
Determined trough national, syndicated and government research reports.
Location codes: Letters
used to designate the location of an outdoor media structure on
a street. Standard abbreviations used are: E/L east lane; W/L west
lane; N/L- north lane; S/L -south lane; E/F east facing; W/F west
facing; N/F North facing and S/F south facing.
Location list: A list
describing the location of all outdoor media structures sold. It
is common industry practice for the posting manager to certify the
list.
Location map: A map
of the market indicating the locations of the outdoor media structures
for a specific GRP.
